EMR impedance matcher (Z-Matcher) is a device which acts like a variable length line between system elements. Maximum power transfer occurs when the line impedance matches the source and the load impedance frequencies. A Z-Matcher attached to a fixed length of cable electrically stretches that fixed length of line allowing for optimal power transfer over a very wide range of frequencies. The Z-matcher will reduce the number of cables of varying length which otherwise have to be transported or reduce labor time by not having to make additional cables of the correct length once on the jobsite.
